The team behind CROCUS

We graduated together in 2015 from the Industrial Design program at the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urbanism — University Design Center School (FADU/EUCD/Udelar) in Montevideo, Uruguay — where our paths crossed and we realized how our perspectives complemented each other.
We came from different backgrounds: one focused on Product Design, the other on Textile Design, both grounded in graphic design. That combination became our greatest strength.
By merging our experiences, we didn’t just broaden our vision but shaped a unique approach where aesthetic sensitivity intersects with innovation and the search for sustainable solutions. This is how Crocus was born: as a space where every challenge is an opportunity to create, experiment, and propose something different.
Today we continue growing together, learning along the way, and leading a project that not only designs a new material but also builds new ways of doing and thinking about design in Uruguay.
Our team strives to attract top talent across diverse fields, relying on professionals and experts in design, engineering, architecture, chemistry, and more to strengthen every stage of the process.

Lic. Bachelor´s Degree in Industrial Design - Product, Systems an Service Development
Technician in Graphic Advertising and Graphic Design
I combine functionality and aesthetics in every project I develop. Photography is another passion of mine, through which I explore new forms of visual expression.
At Crocus, I lead and support the project’s evolution at every stage: from connecting with new partners to participating in the experimentation and technical validation of our material.
I am motivated to foster alliances that strengthen our mission and to explore innovative paths that allow us to grow. With a perspective that crosses different disciplines, I enjoy tackling each challenge with creativity, attention to detail, and a constant pursuit of sustainable solutions that add value.

Diseño Gráfico
She was a key part of CROCUS’s development and growth, contributing creativity, experience, and commitment throughout these years.
She is currently pursuing new paths outside the project, but her contribution remains an essential part of our story.
She combines her background in industrial design with a strong passion for graphic design and the textile world. Specialized in embroidery techniques and with a meticulous approach, she brought great value to Crocus.
Within the project, she supported creative processes, participated in material experimentation, and strengthened our digital presence by managing social media and creating content that communicates who we are.
Her attentive and versatile perspective enriched every stage, adding value both in shaping our identity and in exploring new ideas that strengthened our mission.
From 2021 until May 15th, 2025
As part of our mission to share knowledge beyond the project, this workshop was held in three consecutive editions at the National Youth Institute (INJU), aimed at young people aged 14 to 21 as a hands-on introduction to industrial design.
Throughout the process, participants learned design methodologies, sketching, prototyping, and both individual and group work dynamics, with the goal of presenting their own idea as a prototype.
We guided each student step by step, adapting the content to be accessible for non-university participants and providing them with tools useful for everyday life.
We also integrated key concepts such as sustainability, equality, upcycling, and creative problem-solving.
Each participant developed a personal project, shaped by their own perspective and profile, yet sharing a common thread: designing with social and environmental awareness.

Our Mission
We drive conscious innovation by designing with ingenuity and responsibility to transform textile waste into sustainable solutions.
Through our work,
we aim to create a positive impact
in communities, promote the circular economy, and add value to every project we develop.
Our Vision
We aim to become
local and global leaders
in sustainability, creating products and services that respect
the environment, improve people’s quality of life, and promote an inclusive, circular economic model,
where growth and care for the planet always go hand in hand.
