CROCUS
Design, Innovation and Sustainability
We turn textile waste into a new insulating material: fire-resistant and fungus-proof.
A sustainable response to a global issue.

Award-winning project:
1er premio Uruguay Circular 2024
Arenas Emprendedoras #20
We developed an innovative new material from textile waste, driving a more sustainable future.
Our circular approach enables companies to collaborate by providing their discarded textiles,
which we transform into bricks for cladding and/or thermal insulation.
This way, we create solutions with a positive environmental impact, applying them in projects like rural school insulation, commercial wall cladding, window displays, and more.
THE TEXTILE CHALLENGE
The textile industry is one of the most polluting in the world.
Every year, tons of clothing are discarded, ending up in landfills or being incinerated, worsening the climate crisis.
This project was born out of the urgency to raise awareness about the environmental impact of the current system and propose other possible ways of production and consumption, with a critical and creative perspective.
Reusing textiles is not only beneficial for the planet, but also fosters a more sustainable and conscious economy.

DESIGN & RESEARCH
A sustainable way to harden textiles was discovered, giving rise to a new material.
Collaborating with laboratories and institutes allows us to research its properties, improve it, and explore new applications.
We constantly innovate to ensure this material adapts to current and future market needs.
With an experimental and interdisciplinary approach, we contribute to the development of real solutions that integrate science, design, and sustainability.
More than a product, we offer a transformation service.
We support organizations seeking to reduce their environmental impact by redesigning their textile waste. Each solution combines aesthetics, functionality, and commitment.
We adapt each strategy to the specific challenges of those who choose to take a more sustainable path with us.
We believe that sustainability and the circular economy not only drive innovation, but also enhance the planet's well-being.
